- How to create a new element in the database available for minor head loss calculation:
The elements editor is available in MECAFLUX:
If you know the minor pressure drop of a an element of your water system or aeraulics, you can save it in your database according to its parameters.
Example: you know the coefficient of head loss from a radiator based on the number of its tubes. To create this element and make it available in the calculation of your networks...
Step 1/4:Simply enter:
- The name of the element: " RADIATOR"
Step 2/4:
- varying the parameter name: "Number of tubes" and
- The values that will be selected for this setting: 5 10 15 20 (sample values!)
Step 3/4:
- The pressure loss coefficients for these parameters 0.8, 1, 1.2, 1.5 (sample values!)
Step 4/4:
- You choose a representative picture of the element and you save it.
- This element will be integrated and available for the calculation of minor head loss
